NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine) is a sulphur containing amino acid needed to produce the free radical fighter Glutathione. NAC is used by the liver and the lymphocytes to detoxify chemicals, environmental pollutants, tobacco. NAC also boost protective enzymes in the body thus slowing cellular damage. NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) is a precursor of glutathione in the body and a protected sulfur-containing amino acid. It is a more stable and effective anti-oxidant than the sulfur containing L-Cysteine.
